NOMAD OF THE WEEK // LEA BRASSY

Lea is 29 years old, grew up in northern France. She’s a surfer, free-diver, spear-fisher, adventurer… By the time she was 17, she moved to southern France for the warm water in Biarritz, in the French Basque country and she’s currently residing in French Polynesia.

Powered by her passion for surfing ever since she was a teenager, Léa is an enthusiastic « Nature lover ». This early bird took off in her Grand-Pa’s old van to discover the world around her. She accomplishes herself adventuring in search of uncrowded point breaks, preserved wildlife and authentic encounters. Dedicated to a singular lifestyle, this water woman believes in Love and Simplicity. She is a surf ambassador for Patagonia and a qualified nurse.

Recently, she has been featured in this award winning film. Accustomed to a life on the road, her nomadic lifestyle takes a pause at the Unstad break in the Lofoten Islands in Northern Norway. Trading in her bikini for a thick wetsuit, she connects with the surrounding mountains, Arctic surf, and simple living. Whether it’s paddling hard for a wave, or chasing after a passion - Léa reminds us that if the timing is right, we have to Catch It.
