3. At first it could be seen as a horror house in this dark place, but this cabin in the middle of the woods is the best place to warm the heart up. Located in Bosnia, it was converted from a water mill by a Serbian painter, who also built a few others along the river in the village of Zelenkovac.

4. Here is a tiny isolated hut. The landscape looks like the American Midwest, but it’s actually based in Germany near the Austrian border. A quite remote destination that make you feel lorn. The perfect place to shut yourself off from the burdens of the modern world.

5. We can’t see much on this photo compared to the treasure you will find inside. This underground cabin was built by photojournalist Dan Price, into a hill in Joseph, Oregon. After reaching saturation point, he created it to find back himself.

6. If you are not scared of heights, this place will probably provide you the best view in the world. This little cabin is the Three Fingers Mountain Lookout in the Boulder River Wilderness, Washington, originally built in 1931. It will send you to seventh heaven.

7. Deer Isle in Maine hosts this bunkhouse and a tiny hamlet. Nearly a decade old, it has been built recently and completed in 2009, from an inspiration of New England style, through a timber frame experimentation. Moreover, a garden in the backyard will provide you fresh vegetables and a passion for cultivating the earth, what is the best way to get closer with nature.
